Summer Lavender Photography

Open Photography Session Pass

If you’re planning on visiting the farm on June 22nd or June 29th, and want to snap a few pictures while you’re here— this is the pass for you! This pass is $50.00 and covers your entire session time.

RULES

  • Fork & Plow NEVER provides the photographer. This is a venue fee only.

  • Photography Session Passes are an ADD-ON option to your u-pick lavender tickets. Every member in your party must have a u-pick lavender pass in addition to your party’s ONE Photography Session pass. The Photography Session Pass does not get you through the gate— you must also have your u-pick tickets (+ attached liability waiver) for each person in your party.

  • NO pets. NO props.

  • This session is NOT private and is priced accordingly; you’ll be in the field with everyone else doing u-pick during that session, there are not private areas cordoned off for you to shoot. This is why we do not recommend this pass for professional photographers bringing families in for mini sessions.

  • This is perfect for guests who simply want to document their time at the farm!

Private Photography Session Pass

This is the exclusive one! A private photography session allows you to book on any of our Sunday- Friday open days during the height of lavender season. You have the farm to yourself, plus a few more fun and valuable perks!

RULES + PERKS

  • Fork & Plow NEVER provides the photographer. This is a venue fee only.

  • Waived U-Pick Lavender ticket fee per person in your party. *Each group will still sign a liability waiver upon arrival.

  • Bring in the props! One of our veteran photographers even brought in a bed for a dreamy lavender session.

  • Use of our Farm Powder Room. Full-length mirror. Electrical outlets for hair and make-up, and plenty of room for outfit changes.

  • An extra large hand-cut field bouquet of fresh French lavender to use in your photos.

  • There is no increase in pricing for commercial photoshoots; however, we do ask to be tagged in all photos posted to social media.

General Photography FAQ

Who needs a photo pass?

  • If you are taking pictures on your smartphone to post on Instagram, no worries. Snap away; no pass is needed. If you are using ANY point-and-shoot digital camera, tripod, video camera, drone, etc, you need, at the least, an Open Photo Pass.

I’m not a professional photographer. Why must I pay for a photo pass if I’m not selling the pictures?

  • It requires incredibly costly, year-round labor to create a space where people want to take pictures. Our yearly photography passes help pay for us to keep the farm beautiful for you! We totally understand not wanting to spend the extra money to bring along your camera—please limit all photography to smartphones only. Guests carrying cameras will be checked for their photo pass.

I’m a professional photographer, and I want to attempt a mini-session using an open photo pass. Is this allowed?

  • Absolutely!! We want to be clear: the lavender field will be FULL of other guests, and there is no sanctioned area for photographers to use. You are booking your clients at risk of not having a good shot. Booking a private session is the best way to plan your mini-sessions.
